Literate New Year – I will practice hospitality in a world

I will practice hospitality in a world where strangers are often feared, enemies are hated, and the “other” is avoided. I will expand the reservoir of goodwill on the planet through small acts of kindness, short words of encouragement, and various expressions of courtesy. The New Year‘s resolutions are based on the spiritual practices of the alphabet of spiritual literacy. I will pay attention to how my life is closely related to all life on the planet. I will work for a free and just world. I will be grateful for all the blessings of my life. I will receive guests and foreign ideas with grace. I will describe my days with a grammar of gratitude. I will cultivate the art of connecting. I will strive for freedom and justice for all. I will not become obsessed with the past and worry about the future. I will live in the present moment.
