Since 2002, Sarah has been involved in health and nutrition education, striving to help families effectively integrate primary nutrition principles into the modern home. In 2010, Sarah hosted the International Elders Activist Traditions Conference of the Year and later served on the board of Weston A., a non-profit food organization. She is the author of three books, Get Your Fats Straight, Traditional Solutions for Modern Families, and Living Green in an Artificial World.
